Living History displays & skirmish between Parliament and Royalist soldiers, including cannon and cavalry
Hartlebury Castle is the historic palace of the Bishops of Worcester. During the 17th century It became home to a Royalist garrison of both infantry and cavalry soldiers during the English Civil War. Once again, the castle will experience the sights, sounds, and smells of troops as members of the Sealed Knot return for the second year to take up residence in its gardens, courtyards and buildings.
There will be extensive Living History displays throughout the castle as well as interactive activities for both children and their grown-ups. A display of arms with informative commentary will prepare you for the spectacle of a skirmish between Parliament and Royalist soldiers, including cannon and cavalry, to end the day.
The site is open from 11am to 5pm each day on July 29th and 30th. To book tickets in advance please visit https://hartleburycastle.com
