Cropredy Bridge was a ‘come-back’ win for the Royalists, following a string of reversals. The King’s manoeuvring successfully relieved pressure on his capital at Oxford by leading the Parliamentary forces on a merry dance around the Cotswolds, before delivering a blow that left these pursuing forces defeated and demoralised.
